"Most family doctors no longer provide obstetrical services, but I look at maternity care as being essential to family medicine and am grateful to practice in an environment that allows me to pursue this. As a family doctor, my obstetrical training is geared more towards caring for low-risk moms and pregnancies. Fortunately, this is the case over 95% of the time! I strongly believe that birth is a natural process, not a disease, and therefore I practice a low-interventional, midwife-like, family-centered brand of obstetrics and love doing it!"
