Locate the largest, unobstructed wall and reserve it for a custom wall mural of your favorite nursery characters or any other theme of your choice. Commission a local custom artist to create the design and paint the mural. Wallpaper the other three walls in a bold, two color stripe wallpaper that works with the colors of the mural. Provided the windows are on an opposite wall from the mural, repeat some of the characters from the mural around the trim of the windows - the characters might all be riding in the cars of a open train or holding a floral garland. Pick up the colors from the mural to choose print fabrics (checks, plaids, florals whatever is your choice and style). Use the fabrics on upholstered furniture in the room, decorative window treatments, pillows, a rocking chair cushion, custom crib bumper pads, a quilt and any other items you need to finish the look.
