Question: I am a 30 year old professional model. I'm also seven and a half months pregnant. I've been modeling in catalogs and doing printwork for the past five years and would love to do some maternity modeling now. The agencies that I'm signed with, however, do not handle this sort of modeling. I was wondering if you have information on modeling agencies that do maternity modeling and if you might pass those along to me. I live in Florida but would appreciate information about agencies all over the country. I feel this is truly the most beautiful time of my life and I'd love to be able to work in my field while pregnant. Thanks for your help.As we are from the NY area, we can only speak about some agencies up here that we have had dealings with. We actually requested pregnant models, but there were none available at the time we were looking that were pregnant enough to show! I don't know if it would be helpful to you, but those agencies included Ford (212-219-6100), Wilhelmina (212-473-3952), and Online Model Management (212-532-5923). You might also try calling Fit Pregnancy - I know they ONLY use truly pregnant models. I don't have a direct number for them, but you might try their customer service number - 1-800-967-2084, or their Eastern Ad Office - 212-545-4800. For that matter, you could try calling any and all magazines that feature maternity clothes or pregnant poses. Don't forget many of the Baby Magazines too. Finally, hit the online pavement and visit all the maternity sites that you can find, email them and let them know about you! They would be probably thrilled to find a pregnant model for their next shoot! Unfortunately, we just completed our shoot for our spring/summer catalog, but many others will be shooting again for summer. Hope I was able to help. Best of luck to you!
